Zofran-Please share your experience
I was wondering what success/failures people have had on zofran and if you just stop taking it at 12 weeks to see if the all day sickness and vomiting is still there...

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
I only took it here and there during my MS. I suffered through the sickness unless I had to get on the train.

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
It gave me unbearable headaches. I was sick all day everyday for 5-6 months, and the puking was preferable to the headaches. The zofran didn't make me much less nauseous anyway.

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
Zofran was the only thing that helped me keep food in for weeks! at about 10 weeks I tried skipping a dose about once a week and finally about 14 weeks, I stopped needing it.
It was a wonder drug for me. Don't get me wrong I was still nauseous, but at least I was not vomiting
good luck

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
i took it week 15 to about week 22 and it gave me headaches at first but stopped the puking. i weaned myself off of zofran at which point the headaches stopped when the dosage lessened but i would still feel nauseous when on zofran.

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
I started it at about ten weeks. I was hesitant BUT miserable with severe 24/7 nausea. It helped me so much. I weaned myself off of it by 16 weeks and no longer needed it. Good Luck!

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
Zofran was a miracle drug for me. I only take as much as I needed usually just one pill a day. I take it in the morning so I can get through the work day. 10-12 hours for me. I deal with the ms when I get home from work. I stopped taking it at 13 weeks bc ms was dwindling down. I still get it now at 17 weeks but its manageable.

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
I took it on and off throughout my pregnancy.. What a lifesaver... I wasn't able to eat by 7 weeks and I had already lost 5 pounds. The 4mg pills did nothing for me. I got 8mg's and I only needed one a day. I didn't really have any side effects.. I was able to stop by around 16 weeks, but needed it on and off until I had DS...

Re: Zofran-Please share your experience
Thanks for the responses! I started taking it this past monday when the vomiting escalated to 3-4 times a day for three days. I had been vomiting once in the morning since 6 weeks ( I am now 10 weeks). I am still vomiting 1-2x a day on 4mg, but will ask my dr. what to do at my upcoming visit on wed. I have been piggybacking the zofran and emetrol since the zofran seems to wear off earlier than the 8 hours. I am afraid to stop taking it because I could not function last weekend and I need to work. As long as I get through my workday I guess. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I never threw up with my first 2, so it is really sending me reeling.
