Emily Maynard Is the Next Bachelorette
Emily Maynard is looking for love on TV – again!
The sweet and likable winner of Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor will return to the franchise as the next star of The Bachelorette, show sources confirm to PEOPLE.
Maynard, whose rocky engagement to Womack ended last summer, was reluctant to appear on The Bachelorette because she didn't want to be away from her young daughter Ricki. But, a source says, the show is moving production to their hometown, Charlotte, N.C., to accommodate, Maynard, 25.
And who's hoping to be one of Maynard's suitors?
Bentley Williams, who famously burned Ashley Hebert on her season of The Bachelorette by wooing her while admitting to cameras that he had hoped Maynard would be the one handing out roses, is interested in competing, according to show sources.
ABC had no comment on the casting news.

nope i dont agree with this. She obviously is not ready to move on from the death of her husband (which is understandable of course) and she is so reluctant to let any man into her life because of her daughter. BAD BAD choice for the next bachlorette. IMO

I agree, no more reclying past contestants. I think that's the only reason people want to be on the show now.
Like the model from this year...Courtney. She's a total biotch behind Ben's back. She's only using this as a platform to her 15 mins of fame.

I don't like her. I don't think there is any way this season could end with a real healthy relationship and they will put that idiot from the other season of the Bachelorette on hers just for drama and all that makes me not want to bother to watch.
I am not a fan of the current bachelor choice either and haven't watched.

I actually thought they were going to make Shawntel the next bach, after Monday's episode. I was sure they were gearing up for that.
Shocked about Emily and do NOT think it's a good idea for her. Or for us.

Why does everyone hate her so much? What did she do to Brad?
I was just thinking about her and Brad, and were wondering of they were still together. (When Shawntel appeared, it reminded me, I don't just randomly think of these people..lololol!)

I liked her.
I'd just like to see someone new. What's the point of advertising at the end of the show for contestants, bachelors, bachelorettes, if they're just going to choose someone whom has already been on tv, part of the show the previous year. Stupid.
And I can't belive she's only 25. Guurrlll live it up while you can!

I will not watch her, I cannot stand her! She's gorgeous, yes, and for much of the bachelor I was rooting for her but then when I saw howshe was to brad she has such issues. She's jealous and insecure, she claimed that she couldn't be with him because she's such a private person and now she will starring on a show?! Also, I remember an article where her ex's family spoke out and said she was never engaged to her ex, she just got pregnant and made a story out of it when he died by taking the ring that belonged to the guys real fiancé and there was even a photo of the wedding invitation and the other girl wearing it! The people who worked at her job said that she wasn't employed there, she volunteered for one or two fundraisers. Then there were also photos of her hosting some tv show called at the races or something which she hosted at a racetrack after her ex was killed so all of the drama about not being able to be near a track was garbage. She also dated Dale jr spent a lot of time there after. I can't stand lying.

I think she's ok, but I thought Brad was an a$$hole. If I remember correctly, he was the one with a bad temper and was controlling etc...I can't imagine she'd want THAT around her kid.

I absolutely love her. I fell in love immediately with her on the show. With that being said, she turned into an insecure, b!tchy girl after the show ended and I am forecasting that she has a nervous breakdown halfway through the taping.
I still love her though lol
