1st Trimester - Sleepless nights
So like most of you I am exhausted most of the time and can't wait to get out of this 1st trimester rut. I have no issues falling asleep (anytime/anyplace) but lately I wake up in the middle of the night and toss and turn for up to 2 hours . . . it's killing me.
Is this normal? Are any of you experiencing the same?

Re: 1st Trimester - Sleepless nights
This is me to a T. I fall asleep so early, but wake up several times during the night and have a very hard time falling back asleep. Last night at 3am, I was WIDE awake and contemplated going downstairs and watching tv.

Re: 1st Trimester - Sleepless nights
im 13w and change but I havent slept through the night since before I was PG. I constantly toss and turn and then can never fall back to sleep. Im also making 1-2 bathroom trips during the night as well.

Re: 1st Trimester - Sleepless nights
I'm in my 9th week. I never used to have to get up to pee and I would never wake up in the middle of the night. I would have trouble falling asleep but then I would sleep straight through.
NOW- exactly what you describe. I wake up every few hours and it takes me a few more hours to go back to sleep. I feel like if I am sleeping for 8 hours, I only get 4-5 hours sleep out of it...

Re: 1st Trimester - Sleepless nights
Im 16 weeks and still experience this! Not as often, but I still have nights when I wake up and cant fall back to sleep...
But from about 8-9 weeks on I would wake up in the middle of the night for the bathroom and then be up for 1-2 hours and be EXHAUSTED and SICK the next morning. It was SOOO annoying! I would do everything in my power to try to force myself back to sleep, but some nights nothing helped. Just tossed and turned constantly...
It will get better...

Re: 1st Trimester - Sleepless nights
YES. I am just about 6 weeks and I have been tossing and turning for a week and a half...I thought it was just because I was excited to find out I was pregnant, but I think there's something to it! Now I'm also up peeing in the middle of the night too!
