Manicures
Are you still getting manicures now that you're pg? If so, does your salon use pg safe polish? Or are you not worried about that?

Not worried about it. I go to a place that has great ventilation and I don't go that often.

I stopped doing gel nails due to the chemicals as soon as i found out I was pregnant. But I go once a week for a regular manicure. The salon is well ventilated so I have no worries.

I do regular mani/pedi's... Always have and I try to avoid even sitting near the gel manicure machines so I dont even breath that in when their filing it down (LOL) My salon is very well ventilated and extremely clean so Im not worried =)
My good friend got reg mani/pedi's through her pregnancy and shes got a beautiful healthy baby and a healthy problem free pregnancy =)

I go for regular mani and pedis and use the regular nail polish. I'm not worried about it

I get mani/pedi with no color. My feet actually needed that. My nails were getting while for some reason and since I stopped getting polish..they have cleared up. At my last mani/pedi I got clear polish.
I spend too much time in between pedicures to get color anyways.

I have been getting mani/pedi all along through my pregnancy. Im at 24 weeks tomorrow and the baby is healthy so I don't see any problems with it. I use the OPI nail polish (since most salons carry these) its free of formaldhyde (sp?) and the other chemicals just check the bottom and if the color name is in green it means its safe!

My ob said it was fine to go get my nails done. I haven't been, but not really b/c of the baby. I don't generally go regularly anyhow, and always go more during the summer, so it just hasn't come up. I'm sure I will go between now and when baby arrives.

I'm not afraid it will hurt LO, but I just realized that haven't even gone once yet! The winter is a slow nail upkeep time for me I think.
