would you de-ice your work place parking lot?
so at my job who ever is here in the morning has to de ice the customer parking lot (its pretty big). Im 6mths pregnant dont have a huge belly yet but Ive fallen at work before and i dont think i should do it. What would you do?

I wouldn't risk doing it. I get nervous on the ice even when I'm not pregnant! Is there anyone who will be in shortly after you who you can ask to take care of it?

unfortunately no...and it has to be de iced before the first client comes in...and my coworker doesnt get in until after that. I dont think im going to do it...boss will just have to deal with it.

Definitely would not do it. A couple of years ago when I wasn't pregnant I slipped and fell on the ice. I didn't break anything but I am still very nervous with ice especially now that I am pregnant. Tell your boss that you are not going to do it for safety reasons for you and your baby.

No - definitely not! Pregnant or not, unless you work in some sort of maintenance capacity for the company that seems like a crappy thing to request of an employee. If they don't want to pay someone else to do it, the boss should make sure he/she is there to do it themselves...although I'm sure that will never happen
