Bad gas pains at night...

Bad gas pains at night...
Past few nights, Ive woken up with this horrible pain in my stomach... Ive been taking Tums which seem to work okay, but was wondering if you girls take anything that is more effective/quicker acting etc
TIA!
Oh and does anyone know why this is happening only at night

I found it depends on what time I eat and how much I ate. Tums should do the trick but maybe it's what your eating.
I don tknow what advise to give because I have the same issue sometimes.

I feel your pain  I get heartburn all the time! It has been never ending, especially if I go too long without eating, I get the burning sensation. It wakes me up in the middle of the night.
Anyway, I take a pepcid usually in the morning, then if the heartburn gets too bad I pop a few tums. I don't think there's much else we can take !

I could be wrong but Tums is for heartburn not gas pain... I have the same thing my Dr had me take Colace because I was also constipated (sorry tmi) i found it helps... A lot.. Colace is not absorbed by the body so it never reaches the baby...
Hope that helps i know how bad it gets... More than once ive fried from the pain and discomfort...

Oooh.. I never even thought about this... Yea, its def not heartburn... Its like an aching pain in a part of my stomach that just wont go away... Where you curl up into a ball and pray you can go back to sleep 
ETA: I think I'll try gas-x next... Going on our babymoon soon and just want to be prepared for all ailments
