you will look back at this post in a few weeks after the baby is born and laugh at this... 
when you have practically EVERYone on staff face deep in your hoo-ha the day you deliver (and after for post-partum check ups), your cervical check will be a walk in the park... Plus, it's no different than the beginning a GYN visit when they feel around for your ovaries, typically the OB is standing up looking at you or the wall when doing the internal to check your cervix. S/he isn't "down there."
My biggest concern was pee'ing on the table when my OB started them...

In the moment, you won't care about pooping or people seeing you down there...you will just want that baby out!!!!! hahaha the contractions and pushing keep your mind busy and you won't feel shy anymore!! :)

I had to go through IF treatments for this baby, so I have had my lady parts seen by tons of doctors, nurses, etc.
Modesty goes out the window really fast.
. Same here IF really knows no modesty! When you are in labor you could care less who sees you naked you just want to get the baby out!

Lol, I delivered at north shore which is a teaching hospital. When I started pushing, there had to be 10 people in the room and another few poking their heads in to see the grand finale!
It doesn't matter one bit!

ITA!! I'm pretty modest about things, but it all goes out the window when you are in labor. FYI, my DH told me I did poop on the table. Embarrased to even write this. I was so worried about doing it. But guess what, I had no idea I was doing it. I had and Epi, so I didn't feel anything below the waste while pushing. So if DH didn't tell me, I would of never known.

BTDT and I was SO nervous for the delivery and everyone seeing everything but I can tell you, once you're at that point and you're going through it you're not thinking about anything other than getting the baby out! And once the baby is out, you're so wiped out you don't even care what the nurses are doing to you and who is checking you. It's the weirdest thing because any other time in my life I would've been mortified by what was happening in the hospital but again, when you're living it in that moment you just don't care. There is so much else going on that all those worries you had seem to disappear.
Every pregnant lady has to go through it!!.............you will survive!!

I am not a shy person but can be with certain things. This is NOT one of them. Maybe bc my OB has been my gyn since before or I had issues with spotting in the beginning so she has definitely seen the va jay jay. As far as labor- I see it as they are all doctor and my va jay jay will be the LAST thing on their mind. Now when it comes to BF I am shy and plan to wear a cover in at the hospital (go figure lol).

The shyness will go out the window once the labor starts. I had more people poking and prodding me. And all I cared about was getting the baby out and having the contractions stop.
This! I had a team of med students watch my dr stitch me up & it was so painful I did not care who was walking in and out of the room.

This!!! Also wanted to add that it is a very surreal feeling! You almost don't even feel like it is really happening to you.

totally!!! after i gave birth and EVERYONE had seen my junk up close and personal, i did not give a crap about anything. in fact, the next morning i was trying to get dressed after a shower and the cleaning lady walked in on me buck naked and she was all "oh im sorry ill come back" and i barely even noticed. i was like, "whatever, come in, i have no dignity left." the whole experience and then the weeks after (esp if you are planning to BF) really take away all of your vanity. all that matters to you is a) getting the baby out and then b) the health and comfort of your baby.

I'm not so concerned about when I have the baby, however I am shy about breastfeeding. I know I won't have a lot of privacy at the hospital, esp since I won't really know what I'm doing in the beginning, but I'd really prefer that friends and family not be in the room when I'm feeding. It'll be interesting to see how all this pans out.... I'm bringing the hooter hider with me though!

yup!
as for the pooping.. the nurses told me they do their best to make sure the patient doesn't even know they did it, so they try to clean it up as fast as possible.
I honestly have no idea if i did or not (i think i didn't since DH probably would have told me) but at one point i thought i was going to and it turned out it was actually the baby coming out 
the whole experience is very surreal, when your legs are up in the air and you've got an audience of people staring at you, the LAST thing on your mind is modesty, trust me!

I agree once you are going through it you won't even worry about shyness. I also had IF treatments and many surgeries on my cervix before getting pregnant so I was used to it. I ended up with a c section and for 12 hours I had to be in bed and I had my nurse coming in every 1-2 hours to "clean" me from the bleeding since I couldn't do it for those first 12 hours, they do this everyday. I also had nurses and student nurses in and out while I was breasfeeding, it didn't bother me, you will just be focused on your baby
