Re: ?about high BP
I've been on meds since about 20 weeks. My BP was sky high though (much higher than the high of 140/90). I had been measuring it at home with a digital cuff and my OB reviewed it and put me on the meds then. I take Labetalol, 300 mg 3x a day.
I just had my 30 weeks visit. I have no idea what's in store for me with the high blood pressure. I do go weekly now so my OB can keep a close eye on it and I will be having weekly sonos and NST and biophysical profiles done.
So far, baby is doing great, is measuring in the 66% percentile (which my OB said is great since people with high blood pressure tend to have smaller babies).
I will say that my OB has been leaning towards a c/s because of the high BP and my gestational diabetes. I was able to vbac with my DD, so I know he's open to allowing me to v-birth again, I just think he wants to be a little more conservative this time.

Re: ?about high BP
My BP was in the higher range throughout the 3rd trimester with DS, but it wasn't a real problem until just before 36 weeks. I was sent to L&D for monitoring and then put on bedrest. I didn't take any meds, but was closely monitored and had to be induced at 38 weeks.
