Uterus Cramps?
For the past 2 weeks or so I've been getting these cramps in my uterus that seriously feel like Charlie Horses.
It is like everything gets super tight and it hurts like a Charlie Horse....and then a few minutes later it goes away.
I have no idea what it is but it freaks me out! It especially happens at night while I'm laying in bed, which is when I would usually get Charlie Horses so maybe that is why it's reminding me of it so much!
I am 27 weeks!

Re: Uterus Cramps?
I have been getting pains in that area as well. A few friends who have recently had children as well as my OBGYN told me that it is normal. That my skin is stretching and so is my uterus and other things to make room for baby. I would call your doctor anyway but as far as I know it is normal.

Re: Uterus Cramps?
Is it your whole uterus or off to the side. When i get my round ligament pain it feels like a bad cramp, off to the side and down a bit. I would call your dr if your concerned.

yes a few ladies on here had let me know it is known as round ligament pain. I woke up in the middle of the night with a stabbing pain on my right side, afraid I hurt the baby, but apparently it is normal!

Re: Uterus Cramps?
It is definately my whole uterus! I wish it was just on the side, I could deal with that. But when it is my whole uterus it is just so painful!
I had every ache and pain in the book with my first pregnancy. I said to DH that I should consider myself lucky with this pregnancy. I am not getting charlie horses several times a night in my legs this time---I've only gotten one. I used to wake DH up several times a night with them.
I usually only have to pee once in the night and sometimes make it through the night.
But overall I am just so tired and these uterus cramps are intense!
Going to mention it to my OB when I go for my regular appt tomorrow afternoon!
