Does everyone have a 16 week sono?
I am seeing my ob next week, at 16w5d. There were all kinds of issues with the office having to reschedule the appointment, and since I am now going to be late to work, the receptionist said, "don't worry, it's a quick one, just some bloodwork and stuff."
Now, I went from weekly sonos with my RE, to now waiting 4 weeks since my 12 week ultrascreen. I am SO anxious to see my baby! I'm going to BEG my doctor to give me one if she doesn't do it automatically.
Did you have a 16 week sono?

I did and thats when we found out the sex, Im also going in a week from now for a 20 week.

I didn't with my first. This time around, I started having sonos every 2 weeks at 16 weeks but that's only to measure my cervical lenght since DD was a preemie.

Just had mine today
It was to look at the spine and brain for defects
It was a blood test also...
When I was pregnant with DS in 2008 it was only a blood test. They only recently added the sono

I did last time. I have a 12w week appt in 2 weeks so I guess I'll see at that point. With DS I had sono appts every 4 weeks from 12w-32w.

I did NOT in my first 2 pregnancies. Just the blood work.
This time around, with #3, I did - I actually had an early anatomy scan (Level 2) because they were still looking to catch some issues they thought might be present (I also had the CVS testing because of an increase nuchal thickness). so I don't think my case was the norm this time around.

My OB didn't do one (but I went to a 3D ultrasound place at 17 weeks for a gender check).

Other then my sono with the my re I had a sono at 12 20 and 30 weeks. That's it. The 30 week sono was a growth sono.

I have a 16w and 20w sono. I don't know why though. I'm just glad I can find out the sex of the baby (hopefully!) at 16w.

I had a 7.5 wks sono and an 8.5 wks sono. My Dr is not giving me a 12 wks sono but I am have the NT scan so I will see the bubbie @ 12 wks. Not sure yet if I will get a 16 wks sono but I doubt it.
