My original due date was dec 24, they changed it 2 weeks ago to dec 21. No baby yet. I went to the dr 3 weeks ago, baby was 6 lbs 15 oz. Yesterday baby was 8 lbs 11 oz. My ds was born 9 lbs 2 ox, i must make giant babies, lol. Im swollen everywhere, in so much pain. My one saving grace has been that i am team green and i couldnt wait to hear the words " its a..." After hours of labor. Well thats done, the sonogram tech accidently showed me.......

I am heartbroken. I waited this freakin long. And its ruined. My suprise is ruined. I had to run to my car afyer and cry. I am just so sad.

oh my gosh i am so sorry that they revealed the gender to you!!! at least you will get the surprise of seeing what your little boy looks like! best wishes for a safe delivery!

Oh no!! That stinks!! I'm sure the tech feels awful too! Mine always asks if I want to know and what it is before starting. I'm so sorry your surprise was ruined right before the big day!

OMG, this happened to me 17 yrs ago!!! But the nurse caught the tech before her mouth went flapping but, I knew what she was about to say without saying it.
Im soo sorry hun, if I were you I'd saying something about what she did. Thats just not right, people assume everyone finds out and thats just not the case.

omg are you serious!!!!!! This happened to a friend of mine too She was team green and at one of her last appts the dr mentioned she was having a girl. She was devastated you wait all that time and boom its ruined. But on a positive note your boys will be best friends and hes almost here.

I would be LIVID if that happened.

But, like other posters said, try to focus on the fact that you are having a wonderful, healthy baby BOY!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS on the boY!!!!!

Okay, that would make me really really upset also!

My friend had a nurse reveal the sex to her husband. She was in the sono room cleaning up and her husband had gone out to the car. When he walked back in the building the nurse handed him the sono pics and said Congrats on your baby girl.

DO you know he kept the secret all the way until delivery --- my friend didn't even know the nurse had done this, because he knew how important it was to her that she not know the sex?

I think it was crummy of the tech to do that!

Sorry this happened. BUT you should try to focus on the fact that you are very close to bringing home a HEALTHY BABY! Many women are not as blessed this holiday season. I have had a difficult pregnancy and spent some time on the IF board before graduating. It really puts things in perspective.

Oh man that totally blows. I would def say something the technician should have double checked before telling you. On the bright side- just think that you have a healthy baby boy that you will meet very soon!

DH and I made sure that was the first thing we told them at every appt.

That stinks!! I didn't find out the sex with my DD and DS, and I made sure as soon as the sono tec came in the room, I told her we didn't wanna know the sex!

Not quite the same, but I didn't find out for DD. When I delivered her, she got stuck and everyone was in a state of emergency/panic. She broke her collarbone coming out and the doc was focused on that. I was so convinced I was having a boy I was yelling, "Is it a boy?" Over and over. The doctor told me yes. So for the first 10 minutes of DD's life, I thought I had a son. My mom and DH were thoroughly confused because they could see she was clearly not a boy, but he said she was. I found out she was a after visions of my life with a son flashed before my eyes. Of course I was just as happy to have a girl and wouldn't change her for anything in the world, but the doc totally killed the momnt I had waited so long for.

OMG, I can only imagine how you must feel. I would be so upset. I keep saying it's the one surprise in life that no one can ruin for you, EXCEPT the sonogram tech! Everytime I have one the first thing I blurt out is "I don't want to know the sex"! So sorry the surprise was ruined for you :(

i hope you made her feel like crap. as a sono tech, that's just stupid. if you do this every day, you should know that some ppl don't want the gender revealed. it sounds mean of me to say it like that but i'd be really ****** if i waited this long and she just nonchalantly blurted it out like she was pointing out any other body part. some people just don't think.

I am so sorry! I went through something similar.

I was on hospital bed rest. I had sonograms every single day to monitor DD.
The techs and DR.s were great about me being team

Then, one day, it happened. A counselor came in and we were talking about DS.
He goes "Oohhh your DS will be such a great big brother to his SISTER"!

DH and I just looked at each other and go "Well, guess it's a " I was a bit hurt, upset, mad, at first, but, got over it quickly.. I was having a and just focused on that.

The techs always asked me. I'm so sorry this tech didn't double check with you!

Oh wow, I am so sorry. I would be so upset as I am team green for the second time. DH and I love the surprise as well. I would be so dissapointed but at this point all you can do is focus on the precious, healthy little boy that will be entering this world very soon. This totally stinks but in a few days or so the sadness will lift a little.
