Is this normal?
This morning when I got out of the shower I felt really dizzy and light headed. I had to sit back down and then lay down for a few minutes. I drank some orange juice and felt a little better. I'm going to the doctor tonight so I will tell her about it when I get there, but it really scared me. The only other time I've almost passed out was when they did the bloodwork at the beginning of my pregnancy. I'm 20 weeks pregnant and haven't had anything like this before. Is this normal?

Yes, feeling light headed is definitely normal in the 2nd trimester. I especially notice it in the shower, I think the hot water doesn't help. But I would mention it to your OB tonight anyway just to ease your mind

This has happend a few times to me. It is very scary but after I sat down for a bit I was ok again.

I have been experiencing this too. All of my books say it is normal but to mention it to your doctor just to be safe. I try to drink a glass of OJ right when I get up, that way I don't get this way in the shower- it does help.

I had dizziness 2x thus far while in my 2nd tri... Just when getting up out of bed... Such a scary feeling! I missed 2 days of my iron pills at that time so I contributed it to that... Im thinking that the heat just got to you or you may be low in iron

Yes. I experienced the same thing. Try turning the water a bit cooler while you're in there. The hot water doesn't help.

Thanks everyone. You all made me feel much better. I think I was more scared because I had been feeling the baby move and the baby didn't move after that until about 2 hours later so i was a little scared, but im ok now and feeling ok! Thanks!

Happens quite often to me. I just asked my dr about it last night. He said its normal my blood pressure is a little on the low side but it usually is. Like the pp's said it can do with the hot water. Ah pregnancy isnt it grand?
