can i please vent about DH??

i am 38 weeks pregnant. i know the first is usually late, but really it could happen any time now. friday night out w friends, i had a talk w DH about drinking. i asked him to promise me that from this point forward, he won't get drunk anymore until baby is here, just in case i need him to drive to the hospital.

so what does he do tonight? he goes out w his brother and gets sh!tfaced. i had to pick him up. he's slurring his words and yelling at me for being upset. seriously?! i haven't had a drink in over 8 months and he can't go 2 or 3 weeks after promising me?!

i'm fuming mad right now.

ETA: i don't want anyone to think my DH is a bad guy...he's really not. he's actually an amazing husband and i feel like he becomes a better man every single day. which is part of why this upset me so much. i spoke to him today about it, and he told me that all he had to eat at the bar was fries for dinner, since we are vegetarian and there wasn't much more for him to eat. and he hadn't eaten lunch. so instead of being able to handle a few beers, it got him pretty drunk. i'm still not happy about it b/c it was still irresponsible, but he wasn't really being a bad dad-to-be. just drank the usual while watching football, w/o having much in his tummy to absorb it. he apologized over and over today, and agreed not to drink at all until baby comes just to be on the safe side.

Wow, that would totally p!ss me off. It wouldnt bother me so much if he had a beer but for him to get sh!tface and you needing to pick him up is ridiculous. You have all the right to be upset

I would be angry too! I haven't even thought about asking my DH to take it easy during the holidays but now that you mention it, I will! I have worried about EVERYTHING I have put in my mouth the past 8 months, he can deal with a few weeks! I would keep annoying him tonight, just because I know how annoying that is when you are drunk Then yell at him in the morning when his head is hurting from last night

I'd be really upset. I delievered at 38 weeks with my frist so don't assume you are going to go late. You need to have a serious conversation with DH its time for him to get into daddy mode..partying days are coming to and end IMO.
