Someone else posted this on parenting and I will say the same thing again.
The Bumbo is NOT meant to be used on any elevated surface, aka a table, a counter, a bed, a chair, etc!
It's only meant to be used on the floor.
Same for bouncers, swings, even carseats.
Seriously, what do people think will happen when their squirmy baby moves the bumbo/seat/etc? THEY WILL FALL AND FRACTURE THEIR SKULL LIKE THAT POOR BABY DID!
(not yelling at you, FYI, just being obvious).
Anywho, lots and lots of babies show up at the ER with serious injuries because of this all the time. Just don't use them up on anything!

Thank you for posting. I can't believe this issue is coming up again. This happened a few years ago and Bumbo had to recall the seat. They simply put a big label on it warning parents not to use on an elevated surface and put it right back on the market. If parents still haven't learn from this then shame on them for not following manufacturers guidelines.
If your child is leaning over and falling out of the seat even if it's on the floor then don't use it. DS used to do that and clearly he was not ready to use the seat. We took it away and introduced it again at 6 months and he was fine.

I did use it on the counter but I would never for a second turn my back on DD in it.
