I think i will be ok with our mothers being in there with us during the beginning stages but towards the end it will only be the 2 of us.

Plainview Hospital only allows one person in the Delivery room  but I still plan on having my DH and mom there. Maybe they can take turns...

No. First time around it was just DH and I. I think we'll do the same this time too. The only other people I would consider are my mother and/or MIL.

I love my mom SO much, but I wouldn't want her in there anyway. It may be weird, but I feel like it's something special for just me & my dh.

With both my deliveries, I had my mom and husband in the room while I was laboring. Then, when I was ready to push, my mom left so it would just be my husband and me for the actual delivery.

Not too sure yet, DH get very queasy from blood and needles. So if he can't handle it I will need my sister with me.

Last time I had both DH and my mom in the room. My mom did not handle herself well at all (grunting, groaning, and clutching her chest every.single.time I pushed  ) so this time it will be just DH and I.

on a side note, sad story.
A friend of mine had a roommate who got pregnant and didn't know who the father was. They weren't really friends, just room mates and my friend actually moved out before the baby was due last month because she had not signed up to live with a baby.
Anyway, the girl went into labor last month and had no one to call and so she called my friend and asked her to come!
My friend didn't have the heart to say no so she ended up being the other person in the delivery room holding this girl's leg 
I can't imagine not having any family or friends to call so having to call an ex roommate to be in the delivery room with me

Nope, just me and DH. My mom isn't around, and the LAST person I would want seeing me in that state would be my MIL. Love the lady, but I can just picture her nitpicking mine, the nurses, and the doc's every move. Plus I don't need her seeing my hoo-ha

My mom was in there the first time and was traumatized because I had a crappy delivery. This time it will just be DH.

I'm still not sure if I'm allowed more then 1 person. If I can, it would be DH and my Mom BUT, my Mom might want to be with my Dad in the waiting room! We haven't talked about it yet.

I delivered at Good Sam in August 2010 and it was DH and MIL in the room the entire time. They even brought in a stretcher for DH to sleep in and MIL stayed up with me overnight to hold my hand through the contractions. (I was in labor a long time so she let him sleep and took over for 3 hours). They would have let them both stay in the room but I needed an emergency c-section and only DH was allowed in the operating room

Actually my parents and DH's parents were there during my laboring.. it was long and never ending but the actual labor, it was just DH and I. My mom wanted to be there but I told her in my drugged up state that it will be just the two of us.. it was our moment, a lot happened but it was our moment.

I am leaning toward this
I felt this way but knew it was my mom's dream to see one of her grandchildren born. My DD was #7 for my mom. I always thought I'd let her in for baby #2....
Well I was sick and puking all through my labor...literally must have puked 12 different times...I had a reaction to the epidural and was so sick from it. Well knowing my mom was out in the waiting room I just wanted her in there while I was so sick. So she spent most of my 12 hours in labor with me - holding my hair back while I puked. Once they told me I was 10cm I looked at DH and asked if he minded if my mom stayed...of course he didn't so we asked her to stay. She was beyond thrilled and talks about the experience to this day and I can tell she has that extra sparkle in her eye for my DD having seen her be born.
Once they said I was 10cm such fear came over me...I was so scared I really wanted my mom there with me. Glad I did but everyone is of course different - it's not for everyone.
Only other people I'd be ok with are my sisters. My MIL is THE last person I'd allow in there...
