Crasher here...Lovenox ladies

Just a quick question for those of you who have been on lovenox during your pregnancy. My Dr. wants to put me on this for my 1st FET cycle...Anyone have any experience with this. I dont know why but I am a little nervous to be on this

i only went on it when i was 11 weeks preggo but many of the girls on the if board take it right away...mabye they can help for taking lovenox while cycling? xoxoxo

I've been on it for all my transfers. I've been using it this time twice a day since my last transfer for this pregnancy. The biggest thing about it is it causes some nasty bruises and it stings going in. You get used to it though!! I do it twice a day without even thinking about it. It just becomes routine. Beyond the bruises and the burn while you're injecting, there are no side effects.

Dr. B. had me on it from day I began my FET cycle and Dr. Kofinas increased me to 2x a day for pregnancy.

As PP wrote bruising and stinging. I have learned from others, before inserting, push a drop of fluid out, then insert it slowling, then push fluid in slowly. Minimal stinging.

I will be on it thougout pregnancy.

I am on it. I started at about 28 weeks because I developed 3 clots in my leg. It is perfectly safe for the baby. If you have to be on it for the entire pregnancy they will most likely switch you to Heperin at around 36 weeks because you have to be off the meds for delivery.

I am making the switch to Heperin next week.

If I get pregnant again I will have to be on Lovenox from day one. I will also be on it for 6 weeks post delivery with this one.

Any questions just ask

Oh and I am on injections 2xs a day of 80....and I do not have the bruising and I dont notice the stinging much anymore

From the day I found out I was pregnant i started Lovenox 1x a day. I found out its pretty common for a pregnant woman to be on it and then you have to continue 6 weeks post delivery.

i was on it since the day after IUI until 24 h before scheduled c section. I truly believe that this is the drug that helped me carry till term and deliver a healthy baby. what is your dx? i have homozygous MTFHR, thank God dr B put me on it

I was on it during my pregnancy and 6 weeks after she was born. I had 2 miscarriages before this (wasnt on it), so this could be what helped give me my babygirl!!!!

I have MTHFR gene mutation (homozygous).

I was SOOO nervous, but it was FINE! I got used to the shot. The first day I had to have the shot, I needed my husband to give it to me and I was crying in pain and bruised sooo badly. By the end, I was giving myself the shot like it was nothing! I didnt even bruise as bad.

Tips:

Ice it before. Rotate where you give the shot.Love handles were better for me than the stomach. Stay away from belly button. You could also do the thigh, butt, upper arm. I did butt and love handles. INJECT SLOWLY!!!!!!!!! Pinch the skin tightly as you inject.

This helped eliminate the bruising. It was annoying towards the end, but worth every bruise and injection! :)
