recliner glider?

i'm looking into getting a recliner glider b/c our nursery is a bit small and i think a glider w/ottoman will take up too much space. i don't want to purchase online if i can help it...DH is 6'3 so he wants to see something in person and make sure he'll be comfy in it (he's looking for something w a tall back). also, delivery time seems to be crazy and i'm due in 3 weeks and feel like this is something we'd really want to have right away.

does anyone have one they purchased same-day? if so, please share which one and where you bought it? and if you could just let me know whether it's tall, comfy, good quality?

also, i was under the impression that these chairs also glide while reclined...but then i read a review of one particular recliner glider that said that one does not. not sure if that means all of them wouldn't? does anyone know?

mine is a recliner glider...it does NOT glide while reclined (but i don't mind because if I plan to sleep in the nursery, it will be reclined, and I don't want it to rock)

it is from BRU and we special ordered it to get the color we wanted, so it took 4 weeks...but they have ones on the floor and sometimes have in stock also, but you don't know what colors they will have there.

My husband is just under 6'1" and he is good with it, but I don't know exactly how much room he has behind him (if it would be sufficient for another 2 inches) but it's definitely higher than many recliner/glider combo's that I've seen. And it's comfy, it's a microsuede material (the one on the floor anyway, special orders allow for diff choices)

I know both BRU's by me (Bohemia and Lake Grove) have this particular recliner on the floor so you could definitely try it and see if they have it in stock if the size is good.

I bought one from Lazyboy.

It was great... but too comfy. I ended up not using it much because I would fall asleep in it.

It will end up in our living room eventually. It really is a nice piece of furniture and was less $$ than the gliders that I saw with ottomans at the baby stores.

I got a recliner glider at TRU/BRU. They had it on the floor to try out. We went with the swivel recliner glider (so the glider turns around 360 degrees, whether it's reclined or not) which is an AWESOME option. I've never heard of recliner gliders that still glide when they're in the recline position.

I didn't want to special order a color so we got the stock color which was a sage green. It was ready for pickup in about a week.

i was going to check out la-z-boy but i thought they'd be too expensive. good to know they are less than some of the others we've looked at!

and i'll be getting back into bru too, that swivel option sounds nice.

Mine took time to be made, I had a custom little castle made.. and it doesn't glide while reclined either
