It is heartbreaking, I am sure the whole family is very sad. But being that they had so much trouble with child #19 (josie) and her age, I think it is time to think about her own saftey as well as any other 'future' children.

as controversial as the pregnancy was, I am truly sorry and sad for her and the family. She was supposed to be an April mommy too
I can't imagine how devastated I would be if I were to lose the baby now

I'm so truly sorry for her, that has got to be such a hard thing to go through but now after Josie being so premature and this miscarrage maybe they will take it from a sign from god that 19 is enough.

I am SO sorry for her, I am just behind her and I just know how absolutely devastated I'd be if I got that news!!!
I've watched their show and I really have a different view than most people it seems. What happened with their 19th child could happen to ANY of us. In fact, it happened to me. My son was born very premature, although thankfully not AS premature as Josie was. And I'm pregnant again. If, GOD FORBID, I was to lose my baby now, I would never take it as a sign from God that I should stop. Yes she has 19 children, but they are a very loving family, they provide for themselves, they seem very well adjusted. There are many other women who are 45 and have had healthy children. I "get" where people are coming from when they say she should stop, but I'm not sure people see the whole picture and think of it in terms of her being a woman who feels blessed to have kids, as we all do.

one of my sister in laws lost a baby at 5 1/2 months after finding out the sex earlier. It was so sad, I feel for her and the family. Losing a baby is rough.

My niece had alot of issues and her chances of survival after birth was not good. It's not a topic we bring up in my family because it's to painful for my brother and sil. She had 2 more healthily pregnancy's afterwards. She was named Brianna Brie for short.

My sister lost twin girls at 6 months,on Mother's Day 2007. Her OB said that it was an infection that caused it and there was no way of telling that she even had the infection until they had delivered. The only sign she had was that she was sick so she went to the hosptial and then she went into labor while she was there. Since then she has had two beautiful children. One of them was born prematurely and spent alot of time in the NICU, the same nicu that her daughters passed away in. She never got to hold her first daughter Kayla because she passed away a few hours after she was born. It was amazing though to see her second daughter Hannah when she held her, because all the nurses couldn't believe how as soon as they put her in my sisters arms to pass away all of her vital signs and breathing got better because she knew her mother. My entire family will never forget Kayla and Hannah and we talk about them with their brother and sister all the time.

My SIL doesn't know why - the baby's heart had stopped and according to the sono, it seems baby had stopped growing a week or two before she found out. No reason why. She has 3 healthy children in total now.
