To hot dog or not to hot dog?
Let's see what u girls have to say about this one:
We r currently in DisneyWorld & tomorrow we r headed to Mickey's Christmas Party in Magic kingdom. We always indulge in a hot dog at Casey's at the end of main street. My question is this: can I have a hot dog tomorrow or must I go without?
Hot dogs r off-limits bc of nitrates, right? Will one measly(& oh-so-delicious) hot dog make that much of a difference? What would you do? Hot dog or no hot dog? Lol

it's recommended to limit it and if you eat it, make sure it's heated. I had two this entire pregnancy but I usually hate them. oh and a couple of bites of DH's when we were in vegas and he went to Pinks
I would indulge it it, especially since you're in disney!

I was a vegetarian for years and years until I got pregnant with my first and was in LA and wanted a dodger dog SOO bad.. well, I ate it and never looked back and now eat meat again (7 years later) lol
IMO, everything in moderation is okay

I would eat it. I sometimes have bacon even though I'm not supposed to because I can't resist.
As long as you're not eating day in and out I say go and enjoy every bite.

Hot dog it!!! One isnt going to kill you... Everything in moderation... I eat cold cuts now on ocassion without heating them up  ... how dare i?!?!

I had 3 hot dogs the other day. I LOVE hot dogs. And ill have 2 for lunch every once in a while.
At my first prenatal appt I asked my jewish dr a bunch of questions about food. I had a list. When I asked, "How about hot dogs, are they OK?" His response, "As long as they're kosher"  we both LOL'd and he said yes, everything in moderation is fine!

Being in my second pregnancy and being a little more layed back about everything, I would have just eat it. It is one hot dog, nothing will happen.

i wouldn't eat a hot dog every day- that's what the nitrates concern is about. but if you wanted to have a hotdog here or there, what's the big deal? i don't see the major concern here. unless you're eating all natural foods, and nothing processed, no fast food, etc. then why can't you indulge in a hotdog?

I only typically eat hot dogs during barbecue season or as pigs in a blanket. I plan on having them on occasion. My doctor said once per week is fine, which is way more than I ever eat them. Enjoy!
