flu shot?
I JUST found out I'm pg, only 4w1d. So do I call my reg dr for a flu shot or does the ob give too? I'm not sure whos supposed to do it.

CONGRATS!!! I was able to get mine thru my OB but I skipped it. When you make your first appointment ask what they suggest.

I got mine from my OB. I am sure your OB gives it... save some money - if you make an appointment with your regular doctor then you will have to pay a co-pay on top of whatever you have to pay for the flu shot.

My Ob said I can get it anywhere so I got mine last week at Duane Reade.
Make sure you say you're pregnant. I didn't think to say it because my OB said I can get any kind (when i asked if there is a specific type I should ask for) but the pharmacist at Duane Reade noticed I was pregnant and she said they prefer to give pregnant women the preservative free kind.
She made sure to say it is not a big deal if I would've gotten the other kind so no worries for any other mommies to be.

My ob doesn't give the flu shot but I was able to get it merc. free from CVS..Good luck!

With my first baby, my OB suggested I wait until I enter the 2nd trimester before getting it.
With this pregnancy, I am about 18 weeks and she hasn't mentioned it. I will ask at my next appt.
