Help w poop and potty training

I told DD on the Tuesday before thanksgiving I threw out her diapers and she didnt have one accident.....has been in underwear since and even pooped on the potty a bunch of times.

Since then the popping has been a problem. It has been 4 days and nothing. I know she is holding it in.

Ive been doing prune juice, fruit etc.

What else can I do?

eta she will be 3 at the end of Jan.

Pear juice always worked for my girls ! I was only able to find it at waldbaums by the baby food/ juices ( it is a baby juice. beechnut, I think) Good luck !

I wish I had an answer, DS refuses to poop on the potty. He has been pee trained for months now and asks for a diaper when he has to poop. I've tried everything. When I told him I didn't have anymore diapers he started pooping in his underwear so that backfired on me

I went through this big time! DS was pee pee trained in 1 day at 2y10+m. But then started the witholding of poop. It got bad! We had to put him on miralax for 8 weeks to fully correct the issue. He was allowed to poop in his diaper, pull up, potty but NOT his underwear. Ped told me just wait it out could take awhile but it will happen. I tried EVERYTHING...bribery, physically holding him on the potty, reasoning, magic wands, etc.
One day I told him I was out of pull ups..set up the little potty again in the livng room. Knew DS had to poop. Took 3 tries he sat there forever watching TV but it happened. He has not had a pull up since. But it was about 1 year after we pee pee trained.
My advice is to relax keep mentioning it but honestly dont stress, let her set the rules because I will NEVER forget hte pain my Ds was in on our disney trip one night when he hadnt pooped in 5 days and I was holding him on the potty it was HORRIBLE! eventually they will be ready and it will happen.

we used a pull up for DS for poop...sounds crazy but he would tell us he had to poop and wouldn't go on the potty so we just put a pull up on for poop, then after he went he'd go back in undies. We did this just bc I was terrified of constipation. However, after the fact, I did read somewhere that this was a recommendation. It worked for us, and eventually DS just started going on the potty.

Speak to your ped about using Miralax. Works like a charm, is safe and gentle.
