BTDT 3rd Tri Anemia
did anyone who has had anemia in the 2nd or 3rd trimester feel better after taking extra iron supplements? as far as exhaustion goes? i had a feeling that i might be anemic b/c i've been so exhausted lately, worse than the 1st trimester & it turns out i was right, my bloodwork came back that i have anemia right now...i'm hoping that the extra iron will perk me up a bit, i'm literally exhausted 24/7 - i don't work but i can barely keep the house clean and take care of the dog that's how tired i've been, it's like i'm useless, i have never felt so weak before...
also anything else besides red meat and spinach that is high in iron?

The Iron supplement definitely helped, but I was still tired. I think most people are exhausted in 3rd trimester, then add on the anemia it's hard.
But the Iron definitely helped me!

Re: BTDT 3rd Tri Anemia
i wondered all of the 2nd tri why I was SO TIRED cuz we're supposed to have more energy!!
found out I'm anemic, and started on the iron pills about amonth ago today...
I definitely feel better than I did 2nd tri now that I'm 30 weeks, although I am definitely still tired...
I have more energy to get stuff done than I did 2nd tri
I go this weekend for another blood test to make srue that my levels are actually up high enough now

Re: BTDT 3rd Tri Anemia
OH and anytime you have anything with iron (supplements or food) drink ORANGE JUICE with it!!! or apple juice, any vitamin C
vitamin C allows you to absorb and use much more of the iron
DONT DRINK MILK with it, it hinders the absorption
