As if waiting until next week for my first appointment wasn't bad enough, my doctor's office just called and rescheduled for the 13th Apparently the sono tech won't be in the day they originally scheduled me for, so they went ahead and moved me to the week after.

I'm not sure how much longer I can wait!!!!!

I have no idea. That's what I was hoping to find out. I think somewhere between 4-6 weeks.

same thing happened to me. I was waiting 8 weeks until my first appt and than i got the call they had to cancel I was so mad,sad, uspet, aggravated. But it will be all worth it.

It's worth it to wait because sometimes they can't see the heartbeat so early on.
Don't worry, you'll get to see LO soon enough.

yeah i agree with PP...I had to wait until 8.5 weeks, but LO was such a peanut on the sono, I can't imagine how it would have looked at 5 or 6 weeks...

and by the time I went the heartbeat was so nice and strong!!!!!!

but I definitely understand the frustration in waiting!!!!!!

Logically, I understand this all. Even the woman from the doctor's office said that I'd have a better chance of seeing something. But it's still annoying lol.

I'm not sure how far along I am because I *thought* I had AF from 11/14-11/18, but then started getting positive OPK's beginning 11/20 for 6 days straight and got my BFP on 11/25. Before that, my last AF was 10/14-10/21. So I don't have any idea where to count from.

That really sux!!! But honestly, it will be so much more worth it when you get to see more of the baby than just a blob! At my 2nd appt, I found out the sono machine was down and couldnt see the baby for another 2 weeks, I was sooooo upset

The method typically used by healthcare providers is simply to count from the first day of your last period. For women with a menstrual cycle of average length, that day is usually about two weeks before conception, which explains why pregnancies are said to last 40 weeks. This method doesn't take into account how long your menstrual cycle actually is or when you think you might have conceived.

Right now you're about 6 weeks pregnant and your baby is the size of a lentil bean.

Ugh! That stinks! I know the waiting is so hard but the later you go the more you'll be able to see so I guess try to stay focused on that. It still doesn't make the time move faster tho!
