My doc never said anything about it specifically. I've had it, just in a limited amount because of the nitrates or something. Enjoy!

You can have bacon. There are nitrates in bacon, turkey bacon, canadian bacon, etc. So you should eat them in moderation!
They also do make nitrate free bacon. I forget the brand, but they sell it at my Stop & Shop! It is something like Maplewood Farms or something like that!

I think it falls in the same category as hotdogs. Best in moderation because of the nitrates etc.
It's actually one of the things that made me feel nauseous, even the smell so I haven't eaten any. Had a hotdog a couple of weekends ago though and canadian bacon a few times.
