Is roast beef from the deli ok?
I can't remember from my other pregnancies, and I'm already thinking about tomorrow's lunch

depends on who you ask. Many will say it needs to be heated but I have been eating cold cuts the entire time (not hot). My Dr is fine with it.

I wasn't sure with roast beef, just because it isn't one of the ones that come from boars head, or something like that...They actually make it there, so, I didn't know if it fell into the whole listeria thing...

My doctor told me cold cuts once per week.
I would imagine roast beef, which is a cooked meat, would be fine...

Me too! He said that if you're buying a name brand - like Boar's Head and getting it from a reputable place like a big name supermarket it's fine

I asked about getting it from a good place where it's cooked in house. My dr. wouldn't okay it since it would be cut on the same machines as the prepackaged stuff and could pick up bacteria that way. I know my dr. is on the strict side though. You could always ask them to heat your sandwich for you to be safe.

All deli meat is cooked. Its not a cooked issue its the slicer that can spread the listeria.

This.... It's all cooked so if you wont have other deli meat unless it's heated then this falls under that.
