Reaction to flu shot...Anyone else?
I was going back and forth with my decision to get the flu shot. I never had either the flu or the shot before so I was a little nervous. I had an Ob appointment yesterday and they were giving it out while I was there. It was the nonpreservative, mercury free one. The nurse said it wasn't the live virus. Well, a few hours later, I started to feel achey all over--especially at the injection site. I woke up in the middle of the night with 100 fever and still achey. I know the nurse said it might happen but I can't help but wonder if it's harming the baby. Has anyone else had a reaction and if so, how long did it last?

I never had a bad reaction to the Flu shot and I get it every year, and also got it with all 3 pregnancy's, never had any issues, baby is protected and is also protected from the Flu now once its born! Ive felt a little achey after but its totally normal.

I got a slight fever and felt kinda cruddy a few days after I got it. I think it only lasted a day or so. It wasn't fun but I'm still glad I got it. I've never had the flu but I'm sure that a day or two not feeling great is worth knowing you and the baby will be in the clear. Feel better!

My arm is always very sore near the injection site for a few days. Other than that, I never have a reaction. Hope you feel better soon.

Are you allergic to eggs? It sounds like what happens to my mom and brother... and they found out that they have a slight egg protein allergy. The flu shot is made in egg protein.
Either way though, I hope you feel better soon!
