does your ob practice charge you for your transfer records?
I called up my Ob practice to transfer my medical records to another Ob that I'm transferring to and they told me that they're going to charge me 75 cents per page!  Is this normal?? Aren't these my records? I could just take it myself and make a photocopy for free!

That's pretty standard. We charge the same and so does many offices. Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe it's illegal not to charge for this service. Keep in mind, your old practice needs to keep the originals.
I know it must get quite costly

I just got my records and they didn't charge me. I have heard of other places doing this though.

Yes I had to pay 10.00 for the transfer and 75 cents per page to transfer and it took them almost 2 months to transfer that is when I knew I made the right decision to leave!

When I worked in a chiropractic office, I had to charge for record copies... Seems pretty standard... I think it was the same rate too
