Abdominal pain- what do you think?

I had some really bad pain last night in my lower left abdomen for a couple of hours. It kind of felt like gas pains but it hurt to move. I've also heard there is something called round ligament pain that. Anyone know if the two of these would feel similar? I have a call into my obgyn, but just curious if anyone else has had this type of pain.

How far along are you?

I find that with round ligament pain it literally feels like your muscles are stretching....but...it doesn't last at leat for me, for hours on end. It stays for a little while and goes away.

Same with braxton hicks...tightening and some discomfort, and then it goes away.

You might as well call your doctor just to be overly safe but its probably just regular pregnancy pains.

Have you been more active lately? At 22 weeks i was jogging still and I went for one long jog and had the worst pain in my lower stomach/pelvic area. I thought something was wrong but my doctor said its just the extra weight and the movement making it more uncomfortable.

Round ligament paint is in the lower area so it does sound like it could be it.

Called the doctor and she said to come it.
After checking things out she had no other explanation than "pregnancy growing pains"! Guess it is always better to be safe than sorry!
