Ampicillian for IUT while pregnant?
Edit - now it is ampicillan, not macrobid - don't know why they switched. I am just under 4 weeks pregnant and was prescribed Ampicillianfor a urinary tract infection. I do not have any serious discomfort. I am scared to take this pill. Is anyone familiar with this?

i was in the same position as you. around 3-4 wks, UTI and had to take it to clear the infection. it's safer to take it than to let the infection spread to baby!

i think thats the same I took with DD 1 early in my pregnancy. Everything was fine with her.
