How long between the "fat" phase to the "preggo" phase.

I am going nuts! I am 18weeks pregnant and my pants dont button well anymore. I can still wear them but I have to leave the button and the zipper down a little. Good thing I have a job where I wear scrubs I just want to be at the point where I can just wear my maternity pants without people wondering if Im pregnant or just fat. How long did it take you ladies to go from the "I just look fat phase" to the "Im obviously pregnant phase"?

i think about 25 weeks for me it started to turn into a real belly and not just like i ate too much.

I am actually there now at 17 weeks... but I think it's because I am super short... less surface area I figure! haha

I actually like being "bigger" than before better.... it's fun to have people look at you & know you are pregnant & not just chubby! haha

I started wearing maternity pants with DS at 9 weeks. I wanted to look pregnant and not fat

This time, I'll probably wear my maternity clothes at the same time. My regular clothes still fit for a long time, but I didn't want to stretch them out and I felt more put together without the rubberband wrapped around my jeans button

im in the same phase and it stinks!!!!!
I don't remember from DS no. 1 when i made the switch. I also liked looking bigger and pregnant than just fat.

I think I started really looking pregnant around or a little bit after 20 weeks. I hated that first stage of just looking and feeling fat!

I had a bump pretty early on but over the last 3-4d weeks it has become way more noticeable. Now at 23 weeks strangers can easily tell I am pregnant.

I think a big part of it is what you wear. If you wear close fitting clothes you will look more PG than if you wear bigger flowing clothes.

I starting wearing maternity clothes at 12 weeks cause they were more comfy and I looked better too.

I just got transitioned this week - I'll be 20w on Monday. I found that when I would wear regular clothes, I look "fat". But when I wear maternity clothes, I look pregnant

So Im at this point too and I find that it all depends on what you wear. I have a pair of the maternity skinny jeans from ON with the waistband and whenever I wear them I def look preggo, because it kind of gives the belly more of that pregnant shape. I def get you though. Some days my stomach feels really firm and sticks out a lot, the others like today its all jelly belly.
But yea, if you want to wear maternity pants, I say go right ahead. It may make you look more preggo to others.

Well with my first I started to get a real belly around 23 weeks. I had a small round belly before that, but still questionable if I was actually PG or not. (Pics in my album)

This pregnancy I pop much sooner. I had a preggo belly by 18 weeks. I'm 23 weeks and while my belly is not huge yet, you can for sure tell I'm pregnant. I took pictures but, didn't put them up yet.

Yep. This is my problem. Im only 18wks and when I wear maternity clothes I think it makes me look more pregnant than I am. Im afraid if I go into maternity clothes people will think Im further along in my pregnancy then I actually am.
