Re: are u allowed cough drops?
I've been sick for a week. Called the doc last week and they ok'd cough drops and plain robitussin. I try not to use a ton of cough drops, but I have had 4-5 per day for the past few days.

Re: are u allowed cough drops?
I was told yes by my OB. It was on a list of approved OTC items I can take for colds.

Re: are u allowed cough drops?
Wow! I never even thought about that. I've taken halls maybe 2-3 times when I got a little cold last month. I'll have to double check with my OB now to be safe

Re: are u allowed cough drops?
I've had a few Luden's here and there. Why are you ladies told not to have cough drops?

Re: are u allowed cough drops?
i dont knwo why they arent allowed to. some girls at work say no ricolas bc of the herbs and others say no cough drops bc of the menthol.
but i remember my doc saying ok?! i hate that there are so many different yes's and no's!! confusing!

Re: are u allowed cough drops?
The amount of herbs in Ricola is so minimal, I wouldn't worry about it. When there are hers to avoid, its like concentrated oils and extracts and pills, not like used in cooking or the tiny amout in Ricola unless your eating like a bag every hour.
I skipped on the halls.
When I was sick, I used Ricola and Ludens cherry, which the only active ingredient is pectin which is the thickening agent in jelly. Its basically just a candy. But per my group, all cough drops are OK
