does anyone have a pet and use frontline?

we have a newly adopted dog and she is due for it this week...we never used it with our last dog b/c she was more of an indoor dog - but this new pup goes out for jogs with DH every morning, long walks with me and sometimes to the dog park...fleas are big in FL and there are ticks also so she needs it - i'm just nervous to use it now that i'm pregnant....

i read to let someone else apply it and not to touch the dog 3 days, then they can be bathed and its ok....i was thinking maybe we could keep her in a t-shirt for those 3 days as an extra barrier for when she lays on the floor, rugs etc. she doesn't go on the couches but she has been sleeping in our bed

I have been using it on my dog the entire time.

I let DH apply it and then I just don't pet him in that areas until it dries.

we've been using it for the last 3 years for our dog. DH applies it; i just try not to touch the dog in that spot. I'll still pick him up etc; just try to avoid the area where it was applied. Never had a problem with him getting fleas or anything.

we have two dogs and they both get frontline. To be honest, I didn't even think about it not being safe but from looking online, it seems totally fine as long as you wash your hands afterwards or like you said, have someone else apply it. I thought this was a good tip

I always tell clients to apply it at night so that it has the night time to absorb (so everyone isn't petting the oily spot- especially a good idea when you have little ones running around) and wash your hands after you apply it. :)"

didn't think to put it on at night but that's a good idea! I personally don't think the tshirt is necessary and I couldn't keep my hands off my dogs for three days lol

ok thank you! i just felt like i neeed reassurance, you know how everything out there seems to become dangerous once you're pregnant

We have it for my dog and I just use gloves to apply it, and make sure to wash my hands very well after the application and to not pet him until it's dry.

Also, we were told that we could forego the Nov-Feb applications due to the cold weather -- but my sitter found a bloated tick on our dog last week. So back to the monthly doses we go!!

We still use it on our dogs. Like a pp said, I have DH apply it. I just dont touch them for the next day or so and then still wash my hands everytime I touch them for a few days after.

I usually apply it to her before leaving for work. Otherwise we always land up touching it somehow!

Haven't thought about touching it while pregnant.
