Car seat installation??

When do u usually install yout car seat and get it inspected? I am a little over 36 weeks and feel like I should be doing it now. Also, where do I take it to be inspected. I'm not sure how to go about finding when and where to do this.

I am 37 weeks and we just installed our car seats (twins)..

As far as getting it checked, if you go onto www.safeny.com, inspection stations and phone numbers are listed by county.

Does anyone know if these stations just check the installed car seats or do they actually help with the installation?

I went to Hempstead Public Saftey. They were so helpful and nice!

(516) 538-1900 - when you call tell them you want to make an appointment. They do it on Wedensdays from 10 - 1:30.

36 weeks is the perfect time to have your carseat installed/checked...

If you call the hospital you are delivering at, they probably have someone there who checks carseats. I delivered at LIJ Plainview and the info is on their website...there is something there once a month taking appointments to check the installation of your carseat.

And lots of towns offer it also.
