Question - Dropping Baby Off in the AM?

Hi!! I am going back to work PT in a few weeks and my DS will be 4 months. I will be bringing him to a nanny. He is usually sleeping around the time I will be dropping him off. What would you do? Wake him up first? Try to put him in the carseat sleeping? I could also walk him because she is that close. I am not sure what to do. I feel bad if he wakes up somewhere new but that may be easier for me to get ready for work.

What are your thoughts?

At that age I wouldn't wake him. He will either wake up and go back to sleep on the way to the nanny or stay asleep.

That's the age both my DCs were when they went to daycare. I found it was better to wake them up so that they were on a schedule more like mine -- I could chat with them in the car on the way to daycare/work, I could feed them breakfast, and then they were more likely to sleep on our schedule at home.

My kids were terrors in the car when they were babies. Both hated the car seats. So I made sure if they weren't already up, I woke them up about 30mins before we were leaving so that I could give them a bottle before we left so they would be more calm on the ride. I have a long commute to my ILs though. It usually takes us about 40mins so I didn't want them screaming the whole time.

we had this issue too... I ended up waking him no matter what I did... so he adjusted and went back to bed in car or at daycare
