Baby not hungry in the morning...need advice

So I need suggestions from BTDT moms!

DD is 5 months old and she usually wakes up between 6 to 7 am. Her morning feedings are usually a hit or miss meaning...she sometimes will take it and sometimes she doesn't want it.
I've tried waiting it out for 30 minutes after she wakes up to feed her and it doesn't always work. I've also tried feeding her right after she wakes up and it' also doesn't always work.
What am I doing wrong?
Should I
1. let her play a little bit (more than 30 minutes) before I feed her?
2. Feed her solids right after she wakes up? I'm hesitant to do that because I don't want her to prefer solids over formula right now since she still needs her formula! She usually can eat solids with no problem.

Is there something else that I'm missing? I don't want to force feed her either! It'll end up being so stressful for me AND her!

LOL, I think we have the same baby! I just talked to our GI about this yesterday, well, basically that she eats like 20 -24 oz a day at 5.5 months old (in 2-3 oz increments)!

I was told so long as she was gaining and growing (which she does on her own curve all the time) that there's really not much you can do. She said some babies just develop their own eating pattern and so long as they grow and gain it is ok. DD eats her solids great too which the doc was happy with.

Could it be her teeth? I noticed since teething has really started that the bottle battle has gotten worse at certain times like the morning and some evening bottles. Maybe try some tylenol and then wait 30 mins or so to feed her.

Good luck!! So frustrating, I know!!
