Initial glucose test - 1 hour or 2 hours???
My OB gave me the schedule of tests and she said they no longer do a 1 hour glucose test; it's a 2 hour glucose test now.
Anyone else's OB doing that??? I'm so annoyed, lol. The 1 hour test with my first pregnancy made me feel SO sick they had to let me lay down. I imagine the 2 hour test this time will be just as icky.

Never heard of 2 hour. I drink my drink at home an hour before my appt. and when I arrive, they draw my blood. cuts back on the waiting around and I don't need to go to a lab to get it done!

I've heard people talk about this new 2 hour test, but my doc still did the 1 hour.

My Dr does the 2 hour test. He always has. Had the 2 hour done for DD and will have the same for this one.

My dr did the 2 hour also. The reasoning was that so many people failed the 1 hour, that it's easier just to give the 2 hour and if you fail it you have GD, no 3 hour test. This means she only has to test everyone once.

Oh I wish I could do this!!! Does the dr give you the drink or you go to the lab to pick it up?

Dont know if that's offered at my OB.
I only got the 1hr test and she gave me the drink at the prior visit.
The best part is, you time it well and drink 1/2hr to 45min before heading out there and they take you in right away.

My OB did the 1 hour test. I don't know if my prior history of having GD made a difference in which test I received though.

At my last appt in my drs office they gave me the drink and a print out of instructions. At my next appt I will drink the drink at my house and within the hour go to my drs office so they can draw my blood. No lab involved

Yes, same here. My dr. gave me the orange drink and its sitting in my fridge. No lab visits at all.
