Pregnancy Related TMJ
I thought I had an ear infection so I went to the walk in clinic and the doctor is doing the routine stuff and says oh your jaw is clicking how does it feel? I honestly have felt like my teeth were not aligned correct the past few days and told her and yup, she told me to tell the OB to check for TMJ. Lovely new addition to the pregnancy.

OMG! i have totally been having jaw problems for the last 2 weeks! I thought it was just me, it didnt even occur to me that it could be pregnancy related! wow!

as bad as this sounds, I am so happy that I am not alone. I was crying so bad because I just felt like it was one more thing to worry about. I am going to go see if there is a mouth guard to sleep with but if not I will ask the dentist for tips.

I've had TMJ since before the pregnancy. There are tons of mouth guards you can use to sleep with. You can pick them up at any rite-aid, walmart, Target etc, they're usually in the same aisle as the toothpaste. My personal preference is the "Den Tek sleep comfort fit night guard.".

Yup: I've had TMJ for a looooong time.
My jaw clicks in & out completely. The danger is if gets "stuck."
Honestly, it's no big deal. I don't even wear a night guard.
