Csection question....ttc related
My doctor never mentioned how long you should wait to ttc after having a csection. We're not ttc at the moment but I would consider going back on bc if it wasn't safe to get pregnant at this point.

My doctor said 6 months, but I'm sure every dr has their own opinion...

My midwife and OB said to try to wait two years between births, but I think that was because I want to VBAC next time.

My doctor didn't say anything one way or the other after DD#1 and I got pregnant again when she was 11 mos. No issues or complications at all... Oh and I intentionally didn't go back on the pill since I knew I'd be TTC soon.

I don't think my OB ever said anything- but I found out I was pg again after just about a year.

I had a csection 1 year ago and while i want kids close in age I still dont feel fully recovered maybe bc i work all day sitting down and dont have time to exercise but i am thinking another year for me physically i think its best to wait till you feel ready

My doctor said it takes 6 months for your uterus to heal.

My doctor never said, i got pregnant with DS 18 months after DD's c-section and then after DS's c-section i got pregnant 3 weeks later  , it was really soon but my doctor said it wasn't an issue, many women have babies that close together.

My doctors initially said 2 years between births (but I had some complications that caused the emergency c/s).
At my annual appt a year after I had DS, I asked about TTC and she gave me the go ahead.
My two will be about 26 months apart.

Wow my dr gave me the go-ahead after my 6 week PP visit!
But I think it is b/c she would prefer a repeat C so maybe she had that in mind?

I would definitely do a repeat csection. Dh and I are taking precautions but I wanted to make sure I wouldnt endanger my life nor the next baby's by getting pregnant. I really don't want to go back on the pill cause I felt awful on it.

My OB recommended at least 6-9 months postpartum to give your body about a year/year and half to fully recover from the c-section.
