To tell or not to tell - WWYD?

I'm 8 weeks pregnant with DC #2 and my belly has popped so soon that I'm already having trouble hiding this pregnancy like I did with DS. We've told our family and friends but I wanted to wait until 12 weeks to tell work like I did with DS but today I had two people hint to me about whether I'm trying to have another...like they can obviously see that I'm hiding that I'm pregnant

So my question is, even if I really wanted to wait a certain amount of time to tell work, would you spill the beans if you could hear the gossip mill going like this? Part of me says, to he!! with them and let them talk but the other part of me just says it would be easier to not have to be in hiding anymore since it's becoming more obvious.

Are you close to anyone in the gossip mill that you could tell your secret to -- and then ask them to help settle the rumors on your behalf?

For ex., several of my co-workers & I used to cover for each other when we started to show -- we knew everyone was talking, but we'd approach the gossip with -- "No, she's intending to wait until older DS is 2yo" or "No, I know for a fact she's not TTC so we should lay off the topic" or "I know she just got her AF last week, so she's definitely not PG now".

I was lucky that when I was PG and working, I could usually hide under a lab coat as soon as I walked in the door.

Honestly I told early and never even thought about trying to hide my pregnancy.

If you are comfortable in the pregnancy I would tell.

I didn't feel comfortable telling at work too early either. I "hid" with black tank tops and open sweaters that cammoflaged a lot. I sat at my desk most of the day. Stuff like that.

I hate that people make it so that you feel OBLIGATED to tell. Obviously if you are and haven't said anything yet it's because you're not ready... geez!

If you are not ready to tell, then you have every right to hold off. I felt strongly about not letting work find out until at least 13 weeks. You can avoid any direct (and rude) questions or answer vaguely. Your business is your business. If people choose to gossip, it's THEIR bad decisions. Not your problem. Good luck
