Swollen Gums
Did anyone experience this? It is just on one side and it is killing me! If you had it what did you do to ease the swelling? I am looking forward to going to the dentist!

DH tells me all of the time, "Why are your gums so big?" 
They randomly bleed, esp while sleeping. Forget biting into fruit, I see blood on my apples after I bite into them.. Very embarrassing when it happens at work.

Yes! It is like I am scared to eat anything hard...in a way it is not a bad thing bc it is keeping me away from a lot of bad stuff. But it is killing me!

It happens because of the increased blood volume and blood flow in your body

I read in one of my pregnancy books that this is just another lovely symptom of pregnancy. I guess it has something to do with the hormones and extra blood flow. Good luck and feel better.

What calmed down the swelling and bleeding for me was to increase my calcium intake. The pain and swelling went away within a couple of days.
