Some recipes use egg yolk (most don't), which wouldn't be cooked all the way though, but if you're talking jarred sauce, its absolutely fine.

Really? I've never seen that before! I always just basically use butter, cream and cheese!

Quite honestly, most reipes don't use egg. I think it would be fine.

fettucine alfredo recipes don't use raw egg in them, so you are fine. You might be thinking of carbonara, which does typically call for raw egg.

When I was a waitress I would get asked about foods all the time for moms to be and nursing moms..this was one of the foods..totally safe (and vodka sauce too!!)
