Gymboree class-Gym Play and Learn 3
Hi ladies,
I am looking to enroll my DD (14 month old) is fall classes on saturday mornings. I am not really sure about the different options I have so I just looked up Gymboree and I see they have a saturday morning class (Gym Play and Learn 3). Anyone's DC attend this class? Is it worth it?

I really love gymboree for infants and toddlers. I took 5m old DS to gymboree last week and he loved it. Lots of people will say it is not worth it but I think it is worth every penny. Older DS has been going since he was an infant. I especially loved the toddler classes. I think that was gym 3 that you are asking about.

My LO is 3 months. I wanted to take him to some type of class but I dont know if I should wait for 4 or 5 months. ???

I took both kids to a family play at Gymboree and they both loved it. My son is 2 1/2 and DD is 14 months.

3 months might be a little young. I think I started taking DS when he was 6 1/2 months.

I am interested in the level 3 class as well. Anyone know what they do in level 3?
I took DD to level 2 classes when she was younger but I stopped because she was a very late crawler & did not pull up and I felt that she could get more out of the classes has she been more mobile. She did enjoy the singing and bubbles part, but when it was time to use the equipment, I felt she was at a disadvantage.
Now that she is walking, I feel that she would really enjoy the classes more.

Yeah I prob should wait till LO can hold himself up too. This was my fear that we would be in the class then come time they start to do something he cant I would feel horrible..

Yeah I agree. I may wait till at least he can hold him self up when on his belly.. Right now he hates tummy time lol

I agree that 3 months is a bit too young.
I took DS at 5m and he was barely participating. Now he is almost 6m and he is so much more active and engaged. I think 6m+ is probably best.

I started taking DS at 6 months old. He was only army crawling at that point. I honestly feel he didn't really start to 'get it' and enjoy it until he was around 7-8 months old. He's now 17 months old and absolutely LOVES it. I agree with a PP that said it's worth every penny. DS loves his teacher, the songs, bubble time, and he literally squeals and kicks with excitement when we pull into the parking lot.
if I remember correctly, level 3 they worked on communication. Focused on getting them to follow simple directions like going UP the ramps, DOWN the slides, throwing beanbags THROUGH the different shaped holes in the bridges, etc. They do bubble and parachute time and have the kids tap and roll the big log thing while singing songs.
