Mailbox help...
We need a mailbox for the new place. We're going to need a streetside one with a post, but I'm not sure what to get. Any recommendations? I was looking at this one by mailmaster (Does anybody know if it's good?): Image Attachment(s):

Whatever mailbox you get make sure it is firmly cemented into the grond. Even in the best of neighborhoods some teenagers like to go around at night and try to knock them down.
If you live on a bend in the road I would suggest some reflectors on the outside so cars don't hit into it at night.
I miss having my mailbox right by the front door

we have that mailbox....its great by the way...very well made...my Dh took a 4x4 pressure treated piece of wood...cemeted it in the ground then slipped the mailbox over the wood and secured the mailbox to that. We were told by our neighbors that every once in a while, the kids try and knock down the mailboxes. So we needed to make it secure.

Thanks for the tips! We were worried about kids knocking it down, which is why we're probably going to go with the plastic one-piece, as opposed to a metal box on a separate wooden post. FIL's going to help me get it in the ground. I'm sure he has a better idea of how to do it properly than I do. Thanks again!

Thanks! I was wondering whether we'd need to cement it or not. I'm so clueless when it comes to this stuff! I'm sure I can buy some with the mailbox. To Home Depot I go!
