Toddlers with Extra Wide Feet!!!! Update :-(
I had my sons' feet measured at StrideRite over the weekend for new shoes and they are now an extra wide! I'm trying to find dress shoes for them and it's a friggin headache -- the store only had 1 pair in their size......I searched online and NADA.....sigh.....now onto calling all stride rites in the area to see if they have any. I wish more manufacturers would make shoes in WW!!!!!
Update: I just got off the phone with Stride Rite and was told that they stopped carrying extra-wide dress shoes. They were bought out by another company and are carrying other brands (jessica simpson, etc.) and to make room, they stopped carrying the XW. Lovely.

Re: Toddlers with Extra Wide Feet!!!!
DS is 19 months, and I have had to do this since his first air. I hate that I cant just pick up a cheapie pair at Target!
I do get him a lot of New Balance, but that will not work for dressy shoes...I feel your pain!!

Re: Toddlers with Extra Wide Feet!!!!
DD#2 was an extra wide for a short time - and stride rite and Nordstroms (they carry stride rite) were the only place I could find shoes for that short time. Thankfully she out grew that.
Try calling Nordstroms - they could check their inventory and ship it to you if they find a pair.

Re: Toddlers with Extra Wide Feet!!!!
My DS is 3 and still has extra wide feet. I have never had luck anywhere but Stride Rite.
I don't even bother buying dressy shoes. I usually get him one pair of sneakers and one pair of brown shoes. Whoever doesn't like it can pony up the $50 per pair I need to spend on every pair of shoes I get.
I did have good luck at the outlet in Lake Success about a month ago. Every other time I went in there, I could never find XW in his size.

Payless makes extra wide shoes. My mom had bought Xavier EW dress shoes last years in error. I had to put two pairs of socks on him because he didn't have EW feet then. Now his feet are chunkers.

Oh that sucks! Luke is an XW. He'd probably do well in a XXW... his foot is almost square.

Try European brands, I find they are much softer better quality and a lot wider than Stride Rite.
Naturino comes to mind, I find them at Daffys all the time. They are also designed to be adjustable for width. Once I found European baby shoes, I absolutely despise Stride Rite.
