Only half-way stupid question...do you use vaseline on DC?
I was going through DS's changing table, and we have a large tub of vaseline that I haven't touched since his circumcision healed.
Do you use it for anything else w/ DC?

I have used it from day #1 on my DD rear....poop doesn't stick to her rear and she has never had any type of diaper rash.
Also used it with dd#1 - for years...and she never ever had any diaper rash

I use it with each diaper change. Works just as well as the thick white paste with much less mess. I used a little on her lips too, when she was newborn b/c they were so dry.

I use it on DD with every diaper change bc she is very sensitive down there when it comes to rashes. I don't use it on DS b/c he never has any problems.

I prefer Aquafor, but I used Vaseline on his tush with every diaper change until that tub ran out.

Almost never.
ETA: DS never has rashes and I use NOTHING on him for diaper changes.

When she was just born I did it with every change now I just do it with the diaper change before bad and when I'm taking her temp

I use Aquafur. Her elbows, knees, minor scrapes, small cuts, taking off band-aids! (huge life saver there!)

I use it on their little lips (and mine) so they don't get dry, especially in winter. Cheeks also on cold days.

I've done it every diaper change since the day he was born. We actually get one that is baby powder scented and DS always smells so good! At 4 months, he's never had any diaper rash, and he never has any red on or around his butt (or anything else for that matter). Like a pp said, poop just slides right off. We plan to keep using it.

We only used it for his circumcision. I use aquaphor if I have to take his temp rectally.
