3 month old rash...

My 3 month old DD has has a small "rasH" on her private since she was 1 month old. Pedetritian first said it could be a yesat infection (just 2 small pimple like dots). We gave me some cream and it didn't help. Next time I saw another ped in our office who said it was just a diaper rash of some sort and gave me trippe paste>>>>no help!! Now she told me to try over the coutner cortizone which seemed to help at first but still not gone. Has anyone's DD had something similiar? I am getting nervous that it has not gone away. DD shows no sign of pain or discomfort from it either and it hasnt really spread.

The cortizone has to be applied once a day for like 8-10 days to actually work in my experience. DD didn't have a rash down there, but all over her chest. It was heat rash, though. But it sounds similar to what you're describing. We were told to bathe her without soap several days a week and only to use soap 2 or 3 times a week. Just to let her soak in the water. We were given the same instructions for her very dry skin and eczema. The other thing we were told was to switch to cetaphil or cerave for her baths and lotion. I have to say that since I've been using the cerave lotion on DD, her skin has become MUCH better.
