body aches after childbirth?
i had my DD on june 27th. I was induced, and it was not a long labor, but very painful. My DD ended up being delivered via forceps. Now that I am a week and a half postpartum, I am noticing I feel achy everywhere - my head, back, legs and feet. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this? TIA!

Not sure if its he same ... but when I was BF, I had a clogged duct and I had FLU like symptoms, started really mild with aches and escalated to fever.

Re: body aches after childbirth?
My DD#1 was a vacuum extraction after 3 hours of pushing. I felt like I'd been hit by a truck for about 2 weeks after her birth.
Feel better and congratulations!!!

I had a C/S with DS #1 but was induced before they went with the c/s. I was achy for a VERY long time...probably 6 months later I was still getting random aches.

Re: body aches after childbirth?
My daughter is 8 mos post partum and STILL has aches and pains. She's even gone for physical therapy which isn't helping! Her hips, knees, ankles and feet hurt. She didn't even feel like this when she was 9 mos. pregnant. She had a long labor and 3 hrs. of pushing.

Re: body aches after childbirth?
I'm 6 m PP today with a natural birth no meds (so no epidural-related back pains) and I have tail bone pain from time to time like I never experienced before in my life! It is not fun.
Hope you feel better asap!

Re: body aches after childbirth?
Yes, I felt very achy for a couple of weeks. I would assume it's normal considering what your body goes through during childbirth!

Re: body aches after childbirth?
I had what I felt was a fairly easy childbirth but I woke up the day after stiff and achy. My arms hurt, they felt like I had been lifting heavy things, my legs hurt like I had been running, my abs hurt like I did crunches, my back hurt, my neck hurt....
It went away a few weeks after.

Re: body aches after childbirth?
Oh yes! I think it's a combo of your body returning to normal, hormonal changes, holding your baby, etc.
Try to go for a walk when you can, stretch, and you could always take Tylenol on the worse days.
