Hemorrhoids...TMI

Hi Ladies.....I am going to be 24 weeks on Friday and yesterday out of nowhere popped this huge hemorrhoid....I am completely miserable! I wasn't constipated or any thing...I just think I'm carrying very very low...when my little guy kicks, I feel him so low! Any ways, I have started to use Preparation H and Tucks pads but the swelling isn't going down at all and I'm in so much pain. This thing is the size of a raisin or so and it feels like it covers my whole behind. It hurts even when I urinate. Will this go away or will I have this the rest of my pregnancy? I'm going crazy!! I have the Drs tomorrow and I've never been more thrilled to see him. I just want to know what you ladies do to cope and will this go away? Please ease my fears!! Thanks so much

Use Ice. Wrap it in a wash cloth or paper towel and ice the area.

And I found so much relief with a shower massage. Put it on a gentle setting, and get up in there with HOT water, it will help shrink it. I did this instead of taking hot baths. It will feel so much better.

I also read online to use a touch of Vicks. It helped cool the area nicely. Roids are the WORST!

I went through this a few weeks ago - you poor thing!!! I didn't go to work for 3 days!

OK best thing I did - I took a chance on this product:

No one recommended it but the reviews were very positive - I ordered it and the ONLY regret I have is not spending extra to ship it overnight - I shipped it 2-day - Totally helped and its reusable - kinda tmi to tell you how to use it, but the reviews on amazon say it all. I used it for about a week and havn't needed it since. I even posted a review about it on Amazon - something that i've never done before... Feel better!

I had a huge one with #2...I would say 5-6 raisins.

my MW saw it and said if it got worse or unbearable, I could have it removed. Mine ended up rupturing (sorry tmi) on it's own, but it was the best thing ever!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I dealt with the same a few weeks ago.

All the witch hazel pads, tucks, etc just made it burn

My OB's office wrote a prescription for a corticosteriod cream, but it didn't help.

I ended up going to see a colorectal specialist. The process wasn't exactly pretty, but I felt better the next day and each day afterwards. It doesn't really bother me any more.

Yeah, I got them.

I just cry it out. It is the worst feeling ever. I'll take the back pain and the heartburn than the butt pain. :(

I used the medicated wipes, cooling gel and when I was home I iced it. I had it early on and feel it's slow return. I feel your pain, literally. Hope something on this thread works for you.

Ladies I can't thank you all enough for your ideas and suggestions! they are all much appreciated! I am hoping that all of you suffering, feel better as well! This definitely is a pain in the butt literally
