Baby Shower & Wrapping Presents
We're trying to be as eco-friendly as possible for my baby shower so I was thinking that maybe we could ask guests to not wrap their gifts. My sister suggested adding to the invitation something like, "Let's save some trees, please don't wrap your presents."
I'm not sure if this is tacky though. Any thoughts?

I don't think it's tacky, and some guests might appreciate not having to watch you unwrap all those gifts!!

I don't feel it's tacky at all. I think some of your guest will be relieved they don't have to wrap larger presents.

Re: Baby Shower & Wrapping Presents
I went to a baby shower that just stated that they were trying to be green.
It was great! The gift presentation was A LOT shorter and more fun for the guests. It was a lift present... thank you... lift present... thank you kind of thing (so think about games or something else to fill time).
It was not at ALL tacky. Personally, I hate spending $$ on gift wrap that's going to be discarded. I'd rather get another small present.

Re: Baby Shower & Wrapping Presents
not tacky! my cousin did the whole don't wrap the gifts and it was cute bc she set up a big table along the wall where the gifts were all set up. That way people could walk around and look at each gift up close rather than her having to go through each gift one at a time.

Re: Baby Shower & Wrapping Presents
My friend just did this for her bridal shower. Mostly everything was unwrapped. If it wasn't people wrapped it in newspaper or put it in a bag. It was a great idea.

Re: Baby Shower & Wrapping Presents
I think it's ok as long as you acknowledge each gift somehow at the shower.

I actually did this for my bridal shower. On the invitation it stated that in order to have more time to socialize, please wrap your gifts in cellophane.
Any ideas on how to do the wording? "Let's save some trees, please don't wrap your presents"
THANKS!

I think on my cousin's invitation it just said something like "Be a dear, wrap in clear"
