Do any of your kids share rooms?
Or did you share a room growing up?

I shared a room with my sister. I ahted every minute of it.
My girls share a room. They seem to like it right now, but they are only 5 and 2, so we will give it time. Eventually the plan is to make a bedroom for my DS in the basement and then everyone will have their own rooms, but that is probably 3 or 4 years in the future.

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I shared a room for a very long, too long of a time. Def through HS. It was horrible. I never had privacy, and it was a small room to boot. We had a daybed and I was the lucky one to sleep on the pull out under bed. It was bad. I can't believe we didn't kill each other. I hope I never have to do that to my children.

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
My twins do.. they are 10 months old now. There is an extra room for them to seperate when they decide they want to. I shared a room with my sister until 9th or 10th grade. At times it was annoying, but mostly we had a lot of fun in that room.

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I always shared a room. My two sons share the bigger room now and the little diva has her own room.

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
They don't know and in our new house they don't have to but at some point will, only because I believe that sharing a space makes you closer siblings, and teaches you respect for others and their space. We will totally be the mean parents that make their kid share a room so they never take what they have for granted

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I shared a room with my sister until she left to get married. We were 7 years apart. There were things I hated about it, but looking back I have some hysterical memories because we shared a room I STILL remember the conversation we had in that room the night before she got married. Each of us lying in bed and her telling me how she would miss me & sharing the room.
my boy & girl share a room now. They are both under 2 years. I plan to split them up by 4ish ? She likes having him in there & I like having the extra room as my office/tv room :)

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I shared a large room with my older brother (by 3 years) until he went away to college!
(Until we moved to a bigger, 2 bedroom apt when I was 8 years old, my parents slept on a pullout couch in the living room!! )

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I shared a room with my two sisters. My 3 brothers also shared one room, ala Brady Bunch... It wasn't easy to say the least. My parents finally turned the attic into 2 bedroom when I was in my junior year of HS, so by the time I was 17, I got a tiny new room in the attic, which I promptly left the following year when I went away to college.
My kids each have their own room. We do have 4 bedroom, so there is room to expand for more, but the layout isn't ideal (one bedroom is on the lower level), so if there was another child, bedrooms would definitely be shared!

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I did until I turned 13 and insisted I deserve my own room since I was older. I got the smaller room but I didn’t care I had my own space and FREEDOM. My sister and I didn’t get along at that point. So my parents knew they had to separate us somehow.
If we are to have a third DC, DS 1&2 would room together. Eventually we plan on expanding the house and add a second level where all the bedrooms would be. But that isn’t for another 10 yrs or so.

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I shared a room with my sister until 10th grade when I moved into our finished basement.
My girls both share a room and have been sharing since DD#2 was 4 months (she is 15mos now). DD#1 is a light sleeper and got woken up sometimes by DD#2 crying, but now it's sooo cute when they "talk" to each other at night and in the mornings. DD#1 will also sing to DD#2 if she is upset.

Re: Do any of your kids share rooms?
I shared a room with my brother until I was I think 13 and then my parents got divorced and I shared a room with my mom until I went to college and my brother had his own room and then I had a roommate in college and didnt have my own room until my brother moved out the year after I moved home from college and that was only for a few years until I got married. Basically I have had a "roommate" of sorts all my life except for roughly 4 years...
